These terms govern your use of AsphaltPavingIndex, a directory of Greater Toronto Area contractors working in parking lot paving and asphalt maintenance. By using AsphaltPavingIndex, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the site. Effective date: September 7, 2026.
What is AsphaltPavingIndex, and what does it not do?
AsphaltPavingIndex is an information service. We publish listings, an ordered ranking and sourced cost guides compiled from public records, so you can assemble and compare a bid list yourself. We do not take requests, do not pass your details to anyone, and do not refer, match or introduce you to any contractor. You contact whoever you choose, directly. AsphaltPavingIndex performs no work itself and is not a party to any contract you enter with a contractor you found here.
Is the listing and ranking information guaranteed?
AsphaltPavingIndex information is provided on an as-is basis. We work to keep listings, ratings and rates accurate, but we do not warrant that any detail is complete, current or error-free, and the ranking is our editorial opinion based on a published formula. Rates published in the cost guides are researched regional benchmarks attributed to their sources, not quotations, and no scope can be priced from them. The same limit applies to every figure the calculators produce: they run on the benchmark rates and on the measurements you type in, they know nothing about your site, and their output is a rough working estimate rather than a price anyone has offered you. Only a contractor who has seen the lot can quote it. A high position is not a certification, endorsement or guarantee of any contractor's work, insurance, bonding, licensing or conduct. Verify certificates directly and take written, itemized bids before you award.
Who is responsible if there is a dispute with a business?
You are responsible for choosing and dealing with any contractor. AsphaltPavingIndex is not liable for the quality, safety, timing, pricing or legality of work performed by a contractor you found through the site. Any dispute, claim, damage or loss arising from that relationship is strictly between you and that contractor. Confirm WSIB clearance, liability coverage, references on comparable sites and a written contract first.
Where does the review data come from?
Ratings and reviews shown on AsphaltPavingIndex are sourced from public Google Maps data and remain the property of Google and the individual reviewers. Google and Google Maps are trademarks of Google LLC, which does not sponsor or endorse AsphaltPavingIndex. Business names, logos and trademarks belong to their respective owners and appear on AsphaltPavingIndex for identification and directory purposes only.
Who owns the content on AsphaltPavingIndex?
The AsphaltPavingIndex name, site design, ranking, written guides and original data compilations are owned by AsphaltPavingIndex and protected by intellectual property laws. You may view and share pages, including inside a tender document, with attribution, but you may not scrape, copy, resell or republish the ranking, datasets or content in bulk without written permission. Automated data harvesting of the site is not permitted.
How may you use the site?
Use AsphaltPavingIndex to research and contact contractors for genuine purposes. You may not use the site to send spam, harvest contact details for bulk outreach, impersonate others, or interfere with the site's operation or security. We may block access that appears fraudulent or abusive, to protect both readers and the firms listed.
If you own a listed business
Listings are compiled from public information and appear without payment; no business pays to be listed or positioned. If a detail is wrong, or you would rather not appear, the contact page sets out the correction and removal process, the address to write to, and what to include.
What are the limits of AsphaltPavingIndex's liability?
To the fullest extent permitted by Ontario law, AsphaltPavingIndex is not liable for any indirect, incidental or consequential damages arising from your use of the site or any business relationship formed after using it, and our total liability for any claim is limited to CAD $100. Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations, so parts of this section may not apply to you. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.
Can these terms change?
AsphaltPavingIndex may update these terms from time to time. When we make material changes, we will post the revised terms here with a new effective date. Your continued use of the site after changes take effect means you accept the updated terms. We recommend reviewing this page and our privacy policy periodically.
What law governs these terms?
These terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada that apply there, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. You agree that the courts located in Ontario have jurisdiction over any dispute relating to AsphaltPavingIndex or these terms.
