AsphaltPavingIndex is compiled by The Pavement Desk. This page covers the two things people write in about: correcting a listing and having one removed. If you are pricing work, do not write to us. Open the listing instead: most carry a phone number on the public record, and any without one has a way to reach the firm from its profile.

Where to write

corrections@asphaltpavingindex.ca

This is the only address AsphaltPavingIndex publishes, and it is a real monitored mailbox for corrections and listing removals. It is read by a person, not by an automated queue, so a reply is not instant and we do not promise a turnaround time we cannot keep. There is no phone number and no form.

How do corrections work?

Listings are compiled from public Google Maps records, so a detail that was right when the dataset was built can go stale: a phone number changes, a firm moves, a trade category no longer fits. Any of that gets corrected on request, from the business owner or from anyone who spots it. Accuracy across all 376 listings depends on that, and a correction is never treated as a favour to the business.

A request is quickest to action when it names the business exactly as it appears on the site, gives the URL of the page it is on, states which field is wrong and what it should say, and points at something public that shows it, usually the firm's own website or its Google Business Profile. Corrections are made to the record, not to a position: there is no field anyone can edit to move a firm up the page.

How do I have a listing removed?

If you own or represent a listed business and would rather not appear, the listing comes down. No business pays to be here and none is required to be, so a removal request is actioned without an argument about it. Name the business as it appears, give the URL of its profile page, and confirm you can act for it.

Ratings, review counts and review text shown on a profile are Google's, not ours, and the same is true of the photos. Removing a listing here removes it from this site only; it has no effect on the underlying Google Business Profile, which is the copy most people will still find. Changing what appears there is done through Google.

Looking to price work on a lot?

Contact the contractors directly, or use the request form on a listing if you would rather not track down a number. There is no referral arrangement with anyone listed, so a message to us would only add a step. Open the trade you need, pick the municipality the property sits in, and reach three firms on an identical scope. The cost guides carry benchmark unit rates with the source attached, which is the part worth reading before the first call.
